FREE Marketing Workshops

"Very useful and worthwhile... I have listed six actions which I am confident will be implemented and will have a positive effect"

"I've been in business 16 years but there is always something that you can learn and I think the evidence from Stockport, Blackburn & Tameside shows this is something that can make a real difference... I think it is important that we in High Peak keep up to date too"

"The programme was very useful. We will try most of the suggested items and it has given us some new ideas and reminders of things I have been meaning to do for ages. I will also use the information to train my staff."

The training package comprises of two workshops, delivered early evening to fit with shop closing, food and refreshments will be provided. The workshops include low-cost or no-cost tips, techniques and ideas that retailers can easily put into practice on their return to work to help increase sales, spend and productivity. There will be an opportunity for further discussion and networking and every shop that registers can have a confidential mystery shop undertaken on their premises, thus giving valuable feedback.

On Saturday 31st January we will be helping to celebrate the Chinese New Year - the year of the Ox!  A fabulous Chinese Lion will perform around the shopping centre from time to time between 12 noon and 4pm.   If you haven't seen a Chinese Lion perform before, don't miss this opportunity.  It's colourful, dynamic and fascinating!  A drummer will walk in front of the Lion to announce its presence - so don't forget to visit the centre between 12 and 4 next Saturday.

200 and going strong
Thursday, 26 June 2008

200 businessesThe High Peak Business Network has been up and running for about 18 months since it was started by Marianne and Nicola, and during this period the number of people who have signed up to receive details of the events has grown steadily. I therefore thought it was worth recording the fact that the 200th person has just signed up, because as far as I'm aware that probably makes HPBN the biggest networking group in the area??

It also means there are 200 business women and men who represent a strong cross section of the businesses in the region, who use this website from time to time, so - if you haven't already done so - make sure you have your details in the Business Index for all to see, send in your news to Denise, and help us to make the website a useful local business resource.

And most important of all - please continue to support the networking events because they are a great way of extending your business contacts and elevating your profile locally.
